We all hate the +1 icon that some how lurks your internet searches waiting to be clicked accidentally... if you use firefox an easy way of removing, hiding, getting rid of this small fellow is quite easy:
1 Install adblock plus (by doing this you will also get rid of annoying ads)
2 go to adblock preferences and add the filter : ##button.esw
3 Enjoy a +1-less google layout
